This collection is inspired by our artwork that showcased in 'Jerusalem Design Week' 2023 'Lies & Falsehoods' in which we made a shadow rug of the Hansen House Floor.
Shadows are intangible and require 3 things to exist: a physical object, a light source and a surface on which the shadow is cast. The shadow moves depending on the position of these 3 things, leaving no sign of itself in its previous location.
A shadow has no depth, it does not exist in it's own right. You could say shadows are like filters for the surfaces on which they are cast.
Rugs on the other hand are heavy and still, soft and insulating. A rug has a fixed shape and texture. It has its own volume and aesthetics. Its surface is slightly raised off the floor.
The rug in this space is one possible shadow an object can cast. "The shadow rug" is unlike a natural shadow. Its location, weight, texture, and design are fixed, but it does not stand on its own, instead, it mimics the floor it is placed on.
Tiles can be combined in any way.

Hanging & Care Instructions
How to hang your rug:
In order to achieve a cleaner look, you can use the nails directly on the rug. Just nail them 1 cm away from the finishing strip on the back of the rug.
Care instructions:
- Do not pluck strings from the rug
- Do not fold. Roll if necessary
- Do not wash
- Do not tumble dry
- Do not iron
- Dry cleaning is prohibited
The rug should only be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner. Use only a standard floor vacuuming head and never a rotating brush. Wet stains should be absorbed using a paper towel. Do not rub. Clean with a cloth soaked with mild detergent (it is recommended to check a small and non central area before using it on the entire surface).
New rugs shed fiber naturally.
If necessary, clean the rug at a professional carpet cleaning service.

What is repurposed and recycled yarn?
We try to be as ecological as we can, and that means that sometimes we purchase second hand yarn that was just lying around, so we can make it into a loved wall rug.

We don't always know for certain, therefore if can be made from any kind of materials.
